A Flurry Of
Wings
Snow Geese
migrate through this area in very large numbers. As you all
know the Arctic is a little warmer these days, with less ice meaning
more grazing habitat for Snow Geese which translates into higher
breeding success and an overall increase in their numbers. They rest
and feed in local fields and take to the air whenever a predator
spooks them. A passing Bald Eagle caused this disturbance.
